Collection of Samples:
1) Sample Labels:
The water testing sample bottles should be labeled with the sender address and sample number or sample identification.
2) Chain-of-Custody record:
Fill out sample Information Sheets (obtained from Ward Laboratories) with sender address, customer or client ID, location ID and sample number to accompany each group of samples. A note should indicate analysis desired. Retain one copy for your records.
3) Sample Delivery:
Cool samples as soon as taken and send as soon as practical in a cooler with ice packs. Coolers will be returned to sender. Be sure to enclose Sample Information Sheets.
4) The laboratory assigns laboratory numbers to each container and records numbers on
Sample Information Sheet.
5) After results are completed a report of analytical data will be sent to sample submitter along with Sample Information Sheet. Reports may also be e-mailed or faxed.
